I've had my Dualit toaster oven for about two years now. At first I found it frustrating, but then learned that I should not abide too closely to recipe times or temperatures. We use our toaster oven almost daily for many different things, and usually something that would take 15 minutes in the regular oven only takes about five in the toaster oven. I have had problems with cookies getting burned on the outside but not cooked enough on the inside, so I gave up on them. Although I really should try again at a lower temperature and longer wait time. It does, however, do a great job making mini pizzas in about four minutes. It's a handsome machine that is very useful.

Handsomely retro, solidly metal, and with a sexy name like Dualit, how could it possibly disappoint?
As the wise man warned, "Do not judge a book by its cover" - I foolishly decided to ignore such common sense and dive into a $300 mistake I am now stuck with spending 20 minutes making none other than - a routine piece of toast.
Maybe if I traveled through time and lived in a cave with one working electric outlet, I might thank God for blessing me with such a miraculous invention given my only other option was a fire pit. Sadly, in present day - with so many better toaster ovens parading throughout the electronic isle, it only makes me wonder, "Why - dammit...WHY???"
This toaster oven SUCKS.
Unless you have major patience and a lot of extra time, keep on looking.
Never mind how good it looks.
After all, even the loveliest supermodel can become painfully annoying if all they give you is grief.

I bought this little oven with VERY high expectations. It looks like such quality from the outside. I rarely use it, but when I do, even the frozen pizzas come out undercooked. The rack falls down inside, the bottom control knob feels as though it isn't even connected and it may not be for all I know. I guess I had better get it looked at, nothing can be this bad intentionally. Ugh!

Solid mini oven. Built like a tank. Very quit convection operation. Stays at temperature with more off time than on time due to duo pane window and good door sealing. Very efficient low cost to operate. Doesn't toast bread well (buy a toater for that). This is a great "mini oven" that will cook most of your meals at 1,500 Watts vs your 12,000 Watt electic range. Do the math!

This is a quality countertop oven. It bakes with or without convection. The convection function is incredibly quiet. The racks don't fall out or down onto the burners when baking heavy dishes. Even with convection baking, it bakes bread without roasting the top crust. It's large inside with an efficient design that doesn't take up excessive counter space. You can turn it "ON" or use timer to control the turn-off. It's solid and tight construction--obvious quality to the sight or touch. It's only weak point that I have found is that it doesn't actually toast bread on both sides at once. It's superb for baking, roasting, broiling. Even comes with a cookie sheet!
